Hey there!
If you are a faithful follower of this blog, then you probably noticed that I didn't post last week. I was on vacation in another state and I did not have my usual nail tools with me or my computer, so I went without doing my nails for another week. Honestly, I learned that I really do like to have my nails done. I couldn't wait the entire week to take off my old manicure and then I tried going with bare nails for a couple days and I had a nail break. I couldn't wait to get my nails painted again and I came up with the following manicure.
This week I have another simple manicure that I based off of what colors I wanted and one accent. For this look you will need a glittery purple nail polish, a berry jelly nail polish and striping tape. I started with a base coat of OPI nail envy. I then did two coats of Julep Phia on all nails except the middle finger nail. I then painted the middle finger nail with two coats of Julep Bette. I did a coat of top coat on top of Julep Bette so that it would dry fast and stay put. Once dry, I applied two pieces of striping tape on that same middle finger nail, a third of the way down, diagonally placed at the center of the nail so that they form a teepee at the tip of the nail. I placed another two pieces of tape just underneath the first two, following the same pattern. I then used Julep Phia to paint in the space between the two pieces of tape. I then carefully removed the tape. Once that was completely dry, I finished my manicure with a fast drying top coat of INM Out the door.

I really like the colors I used in this manicure. I have been wanting to buy more colors and I think I am going to get more glittery and more pink and berry type colors. I like how by simply changing the color of one nail and adding that accent makes it nail art and not just a plain manicure. It was difficult painting in between those pieces of striping tape. I think it would have been easier to use a nail art brush or a striping tool. I just used what I had, I need to invest in some more tools as well. I hope that you enjoyed this look and I will see you next time!
