Half moon with French tip

Hey!

This week I decided to do a look that I had seen online a while back but never gotten a chance to try. I was familiar with the half moon look but I had never seen it paired with a french tip. For this manicure you will need two colors of nail polish and a small dotting tool.

I started with a base coat of OPI nail envy. I then did two coats of Julep Margaret and let that dry. Using a small dotting tool and the color Julep Jennine, I drew an arch, starting a little below half way on the nail, so that it looked like a half moon. I then used Julep Jennine to paint the area above the arch. Once that was dry, I used Julep Margaret to paint the tip of the nail. I finished my manicure with a fast drying top coat of INM Out the Door.

What do you think? I know I picked really bold colors, but I love this look. I would love to see this with more toned down colors. If you don't feel so confident drawing the arch with the dotting tool, you could use a reinforcement sticker and place it at the cuticles as a guide to make the half moon. Same thing with painting the tips, except use striping tape as a guide. Well, I hope you enjoyed this look and I will see you next time!
