Drizzle

Hey!!

This week I was able to try out a manicure that I saw on a video tutorial online. It was the first time I had ever tried something like this and it was so much fun!! For this manicure you will need three colors of nail polish and a toothpick.

I started off with a base coat of OPI nail envy. I then did one stripe of Sei Bella Vintage Mauve right down the middle of the nail and then painted one stripe of Sei Bella Imperial Purple to the left and one stripe of Orly Buried Treasure on the right, so that I had three vertical stripes. While the nail polish was still wet, I used my toothpick to draw zig zag lines that went horizontally across the nail, so that it swirled together and looks like a drizzle. Once that was completely dry, I finished my manicure with a fast drying top coat of INM out the door.

Three stripes from right to left: Sei Bella Imperial Purple, Sei Bella Vintage Mauve and Orly Buried Treasure

Finished!

Isn't that so pretty?! I will admit, I was a little scared to do this design, but with a little practice it became simple. I did have to do a couple fingers over just because I was figuring out how to make the lines with the wet nail polish. It helps to do them a little more spaced out and then go back and make some more lines. The trick is to do it quickly, while the polish is wet. As you can see, some lines were done closer and other were done further apart and that changed the look of the design, (like my pinky finger). Well, I hope you enjoyed this look and I will see you next time!
