Sparkle

Hello!

This is the last manicure of 2016! I did something simple but pretty. I immediately thought New Years Eve and GLITTER. So for this manicure you will need a chunky glitter nail polish, a piece of paper towel and a toothpick.

I started with a base coat of OPI nail envy maintenance. I then used Whim More Sequins Please on the tips of my nails. I pat it on versus painting it on to carefully place the glitter. I then spread some nail polish on the paper towel and used a toothpick to pick up pieces of glitter to place on the nail, again concentrating on the ends and then adding smaller individual pieces towards the base. Once it was all dry, I used a fast drying top coat of INM Out the Door to finish my manicure.

Hooray for glitter and easy manicures!! I love that the glitter speaks for itself and is the perfect accessory for New Years. I hope you enjoyed this manicure and I will see you next year!

Snowflake

Hey there!

This week I wanted to try my hand at painting a snowflake, free hand with my nail art brush. For this manicure you will need a winter icy blue nail color, a silver nail color, a chunky glitter polish that has white and silver geometric shapes and of course a nail art brush.

I started off with a base coat of OPI nail envy maintenance. I then did two coats of Sinful Colors Wonder Mint on my pinky, middle and pointer fingernails. I did two coats of Icing Heavy Metal on my ring fingernails and thumbs. I used Icing Heavy metal and a nail art brush to paint a snowflake on my middle fingernail. I started with three diagonal lines across the nail. I then added fishtails to the ends and more fishtails to the middle of each diagonal line. I then used Whim Frosted Cupcake as a glitter overlay on the rest of my fingernails, concentrating on the base of the nail and less at the tips. Once everything was dry, I finished my manicure with a fast drying top coat of INM Out the Door.

Ah!! I absolutely love the color palette of this manicure and the glitter is so pretty!! Sorry for the pictures, I started out with a different color nail polish and changed my mind later on, so the silver polish isn't in the tutorial pics. The snowflake on my right hand has thicker lines than the snowflake on my left hand, but they still both look good. I just need to keep practicing using that brush! I hope you loved this manicure and I will see you next time!!

Holly Garland

Hey!

So I have opened up an Instagram account where I have been posting my manicures every week (nervy_nails). I have also been following other nail accounts where I can see manicures and get ideas. I saw a manicure on an account called Hanninator and that's where I got my inspiration for this week's mani. You will need a sheer shimmery nail color, a dark green nail color, a silver nail color, a berry or red nail color , a nail art brush and a dotting tool.

I started with a base coat of OPI nail envy maintenance. I then did a coat of Sei Bella Crystal Sands. I then used Icing Heavy Metal to paint the white part of my nails at the tips. I then used Julep Hoch and a nail art brush to paint the garland. I did this by painting arrowheads, very close to another, going horizontally, along the line where the silver and shimmery nail polishes meet on the nail. I then used Sei Bella Crushed Berries and a small dotting tool to paint on berries along the garland. Once everything was dry, I finished my manicure with a fast drying top coat of INM Out the Door.

Way cute, right?! The original manicure I saw online had used white tips and there were white dots on the berries, but I had no white nail polish so this is what I came up with instead. I also added the shimmer to the base color since I didn't have a nude nail polish to use. I really really liked this and it wasn't so hard either, just needed to pace myself when painting on that garland. I hope you enjoyed this manicure and I will see you next time!

O Tannenbaum

Hey!

This week's manicure is inspired by Christmas trees! For this manicure you will need a berry nail color, a brass metallic nail color, a gold nail color, a coral metallic nail color, a dark green nail color, striping tape and dotting tools.

I started with a base coat of OPI nail envy maintenance. I then did two coats of Sei Bella Crushed Berries on my pointer and ring fingernails and two coats of Julep Savoy on the remaining fingernails.
On the ring fingernail I placed two pieces of striping tape so as to form a V that points to the base of the nail. I then took a large dotting tool and Julep Hoch and filled in the space inside of the V shape so as to form the body of the tree and give it that bushy texture. Once that dried, I took a small dotting tool and Sei Bella Deep Coral and placed ornaments on the tree. I then placed garland on the tree with Julep Savoy and finished my tree with a star on the top with Orly Luxe. When it was all dry, I finished my manicure with a fast drying top coat of INM Out the Door.

Cute, right?! It's so festive, perfect for the season. This wasn't too hard, maybe just be careful with using a really small dotting tool to decorate the tree. I used a brush to paint on the star. I hope you liked this one and I will see you next time!
