Swivel

Hey!

This week I tried out a design that I saw online. For this manicure you will need a dark purple polish, a silver polish and some striping tape.

I started with a base coat of OPI nail envy. I then did two coats of Sei Bella Imperial Purple on all fingers except for my ring fingers, which were painted with two coats of Icing Heavy Metal. Once that was all dry, on my ring fingernail, I placed four pieces of striping tape so that at the center of the nail, where the pieces of tape touch each other, they would form an empty diamond shape. I then placed two more pieces of tape following the direction of each piece of tape first placed, similar to a pinwheel. I then painted over the nail with Sei Bella Imperial Purple and carefully removed all of the striping tape. Once that was completely dry, I finished my manicure with a fast drying top coat of INM Out the Door.

I really like how intricate this design is. I can't imagine how long it would take to do this on every nail. I was debating doing it on another nail, but these days, I am all for simplicity. Just be extra careful removing the tape. It would be helpful to do a top coat on the first color before applying the tape so that it dries faster and stays put. I hope you enjoyed this look and I will see you next time!

Egg-cellent

Hello!

This week's manicure was inspired by the colors and decorations of Easter. I came up with this one on my own. For this look you will need a pastel blue nail polish, a silver nail polish, a purple nail polish and a dotting tool.

I started with a base coat of OPI nail envy. I then did two coats of Sei Bella Robin's Egg Blue. Using a small dotting tool and Icing Heavy Metal, I did a horizontal row of dots across the middle of the nail. I then used a smaller sized dotting and Julep Bette, to make another row of dots below the first row. I kept doing this until my entire nail was covered with alternating rows of purple and silver dots. I did this design on my middle and pinky finger nails. I then used a small dotting tool and Julep Bette to make an outline of an oval at the center of the nail. I then used Icing Heavy Metal and a dotting tool, to do a smaller oval inside of the first oval. I did this design on my ring and pointer fingernails. Once everything was completely dry, I finished my manicure with a fast drying top coat of INM Out the Door.

This manicure is very colorful, it goes perfectly with Easter decor.  The patterns remind me of something I would see on an Easter egg. If you want to tone this down, you could change the middle and pinky fingernail design with a solid color like silver or purple and that way, it's not as busy. Well, I hope you enjoyed this look and I will see you next time!

Clover

Hello!!

This week's manicure was inspired by St. Patrick's Day. This was my first time ever attempting to draw a four leaf clover with a dotting tool. It turned out somewhat messy looking, but hey, it's okay, with more practice I will get better. For this manicure you will need a white and a green nail polish and a small dotting tool.

I started with a base coat of OPI nail envy. I then painted my pinky, middle and thumb fingernails with OPI Alpine Snow in two coats. I painted my ring and pointer finger nails with Julep Hoch in two coats. Once dry, I used Julep Hoch and a small dotting tool to paint on my middle fingernail, four small hearts, two vertical and two horizontal, with all the ends of the hearts facing the center of the nail, so that it looks like a four leaf clover. Once everything was completely dry, I finished my manicure with a fast drying top coat of INM Out the Door.

These days I am all for a very simple and quick manicure. This is a great way to do just a little something to spice up a regular mani. I hope you enjoyed this look and I will see you next time!

Play Button

Hey!

This week's manicure was inspired by another manicure I saw online through Pinterest. I called it play button because it reminds me of the symbol of the play button. For this manicure you will need a white nail polish and striping tape.

I started with a base coat of OPI nail envy. I then placed two pieces of striping tape so that they formed a sideways V, or the head of an arrow. I then painted over the tape with OPI Alpine Snow. I then carefully removed the pieces of tape. Once my nails were completely dry, I finished my manicure with a fast drying top coat of INM Out the Door.

I love how fresh and simple this manicure is. It was very easy to do, which makes it even better! I hope you enjoyed this look and I will see you next time!

Scalloped Tip

Hey there!

This week I have a very simple but very cute manicure. You will need a nude colored nail polish, a white polish and a dotting tool.

I started with a base coat of OPI nail envy. I then did two coats of Sei Bella Vintage Mauve. Once that was dry, I used OPI Alpine Snow and a small dotting tool to paint horizontally along the tip of the nail, dots that touch one another so that it looks like ridges or "scalloped". Once that was completely dry, I finished my manicure with a fast drying top coat of INM Out the Door.

I really like this mani, so cute and so simple. You can change up the colors to make it more bold. I hope you liked this look and I will see you next time!
