Shifting Stripes

Hey!

This week I decided to do a manicure I saw online through Pinterest. It can be found on pshiiit.com. For this look you will need a white, teal and silver nail polish and striping tape.

I started with a base coat of OPI nail envy. I then did two coats of Icing Heavy Metal. Once that was completely dry, I placed four pieces of striping tape horizontally on the nail, evenly spaced, starting just above the cuticle coming in from the left and leaving a space so that the tape doesn't go all the way across the entire nail and then placing the next piece of tape coming in from the right, until all pieces are in place. I then painted over the tape, covering half of the nail (vertically) with OPI Alpine Snow and then the other half of the nail with Sei Bella Vintage Teal. I then carefully removed the striping tape. Once that was completely dry, I finished my manicure with a fast drying top coat of INM Out the Door.

I thought this was a fun look. When you place the striping tape, make sure you press it down firmly on the sides, so that nail polish doesn't run underneath. You can totally change up this look by picking different colors. I hope that you enjoyed this manicure and I will see you next time!

Double Slanted Tip

Hey!

This week I really wanted to do a manicure that showed off my natural nail color. For this look you will need a deep plum nail polish, a glittery purple nail polish, and some striping tape.

I started with a base coat of OPI nail envy. I then placed striping tape diagonally at the tip of my nail, so that when I painted above it, the entire white part of the nail would be covered. I then painted above the striping tape with Sei Bella Imperial Purple. Once that was dry, I placed another piece of striping tape in the middle of the area I had just painted, in Julep Phia. When that was completely dry, I finished my manicure with a fast drying top coat of INM Out the Door.

I really like this one. Super simple and super pretty! Change up the colors if you like and see what you come up with! I hope you enjoy this look and I will see you next time!

Heart to Heart

Hey there!

It's almost Valentine's Day and I have another great manicure just for the occasion. For this look you will need a white, red, pink and gold nail polish and dotting tools.

I started with a base coat of OPI nail envy. I then did two coats of OPI Alpine Snow. Once that was dry I used Sei Bella Crushed Berries and Sei Bella Coral Fantasy and a dotting tool to make a pair of hearts, one of each color on the nail. To make a heart, you simply place two dots together and then using a dotting tool drag down the polish to form the bottom of the heart. I then used Orly Luxe to place a third heart, only on my ring fingernail, as an accent. Once it was completely dry, I finished my manicure with a fast drying top coat of INM Out the Door.

I am really limited to colors when it comes to pink and red. I need to go shopping for more nail polish in this color scheme! This wasn't too hard to do. The hearts take a little practice and some came out sloppier than others, but hey, that's how you get better! I hope you enjoyed this manicure and I will see you next time!

Studs

Hello!

This week I again gravitated towards a very girly color theme for my manicure. For this manicure you will need a purple/pink polish, a white polish, a gold polish and dotting tools.

I started with a base coat of OPI nail envy. I then did two coats of OPI Alpine Snow on my pinky and middle fingernails. I painted my ring and pointer fingernails with two coats of Julep Bette. Once that was dry, I used a medium sized dotting tool and Orly Luxe to paint on a vertical line of dots down the middle of the nails. Once that was completely dry, I finished my manicure with a fast drying top coat of INM Out the Door.

This is another simple manicure that is just so elegant! I love how this turned out with the colors I chose. I hope you enjoyed this one and I will see you next time!
