Dotted Border

Hey there!

It seems as if I am on a dotting tool kick because yes, this week's manicure also has dots. It's just so easy, I can't help it! For this manicure, you will need two colors of nail polish and a medium dotting tool.

I started with a base coat of OPI Nail Envy. I then did two coats of Orly Buried Treasure. Once completely dry, I used a medium sized dotting tool and Orly Liquid Vinyl to place a horizontal line of dots at the tip of the nail and then followed around the outside border of the nail. Once the dots were dry, I finished my manicure with a fast drying top coat of INM Out the Door.

Fun, right?! This is another easy way to change up a regular manicure. Just be sure to mind the spacing of the dots. You could try using a larger dotting tool or a smaller one, but I would be sure to leave an actual space between the dots, which gives it the visual effect you see here. I hope you enjoyed this manicure and I will see you next time!

Necklace

Hello!!

This week's mani was inspired by an event. I am going to a wedding this weekend, and I wanted something really feminine and dainty. I immediately went towards the color pink and I thought of lace. I didn't know how I would make the look of lace since I don't have an art brush (yet). So I thought of a necklace instead and came up with the following manicure. For this look you will need two colors of nail polish and dotting tools.

I started with a base coat of OPI Nail Envy. I then did two coats of Sei Bella Pink Sherbet. Once completely dry, I used a medium dotting tool and Sei Bella Stardust and placed four or five dots, starting at the bottom left corner of the nail, above the cuticle, and went in an arch shape to the other bottom right corner. On the ring fingernail, I placed two dots vertically above each dot previously placed. On the rest of my fingernails, I followed the pattern of the first arch and placed two more rows above that first row, but with a smaller dotting tool. So in the end, you have three rows of dots that look like a necklace. Once completely dry, I finished my manicure with a fast drying top coat of INM Out the Door.

Isn't that so cute?! The ring fingernail is supposed to be the accent nail, so it's different than the rest. Really the only difference is in the spacing of the dots, but I think it serves its purpose. I think this would look super cute with different colors. Try doing a dark base color and a light color for the dots. I think it would really pop. I hope you enjoyed this look and I will see you next time!

Dotted X

Hey there!

This week's manicure is super simple. All you need is two colors of nail polish and a dotting tool.

I started with a base coat of OPI Nail Envy. I then did two coats of Julep Teri. Once dry, I used a medium sized dotting tool and Orly Luxe and placed a dot in the center of the nail. I then placed more dots so as to make a diagonal line across the nail. I then made another line of diagonal dots, going in the opposite direction, so that both lines crossed to make an X. Once completely dry, I finished my manicure with a fast drying top coat of IMN Out the Door.

This is another great manicure for those who like it easy and simple. You could make the dots as big or little as you like and either place them close together or a little spaced out. I hope you enjoyed this look and I will see you next time!

Flash

Hey there!

This week I really wanted to do something with black and gold and I remembered a manicure I saw on Pinterest. For this look you will need two colors of nail polish and striping tape.

I started off with a base coat of OPI Nail Envy. I then did two coats of Orly Luxe.  Once that was completely dry, I used two pieces of striping tape, both starting at the top right corner of the nail and going down the nail diagonally in a V shape. I then painted above and below the tape, with Orly Liquid Vinyl, so it left the middle section gold. I then carefully removed the tape. Once everything was completely dry, I finished my manicure with a fast drying top coat of INM Out the Door.

This manicure is bold and eye catching, really fun. It was a little hard to paint the section closest to the cuticle. You just have to be patient and not use too much polish at once. This Orly gold polish was really great to use as a base for striping tape, it dried fast and stayed put. Overall, this was pretty simple to do and it looks cool. I hope you enjoyed this look and I will see you next time!

Patriotic

Hello!

This week my manicure was inspired by the upcoming holiday of Independence Day and the colors of the American Flag. I realized that I only have ONE red nail polish and it's a clear polish with chunks of red glitter. I also didn't have a white polish, so I used the closest thing I had which is a pearl color. For this look you will need 4 colors of nail polish and a dotting tool.

I started with a base coat of OPI Nail Envy. I then did two coats of Sei Bella Peach Frost on all fingers except for my ring and thumbs which were painted with two coats of Sinful Colors Love Nails. Once dry, I used a small dotting tool and Icing Heavy Metal to apply dots on my ring and thumb nails. I then used Sinful Colors Decadent to paint over the nails I had painted with Sei Bella Peach Frost. Once everything was completely dry, I finished my manicure with a fast drying top coat of INM Out the Door.

This was so easy to do and I really like it. The red glitter really puts me in the mood for 4th of July and Fireworks. I hope you enjoyed this look and I will see you next time!
