Half and Half

Hey everyone!

I hope you are all having an awesome summer! This week's look is another very simple manicure yet bold and FUN! For this look you will need three colors of nail polish and striping tape.

I started with a base coat of OPI Nail Envy. I then did two coats of Icing Heavy Metal. Once dry I placed a piece of striping tape in the middle of the nail going vertically, so as to divide the nail in half. I then painted one side of the nail with Sei Bella Vintage Teal and the other side with Sei Bella Robin's Egg Blue. I then carefully removed the striping tape. Once completely dry, I finished my manicure with a fast drying top coat of INM Out the Door.

I really liked how this one turned out. I think the colors go really well together. The silver nail polish dried so fast and made it so easy to use striping tape with. Thank you Jen, you were so right! (She gave me that nail polish) I hope you enjoyed this look and I will see you next time!

Chunky Glitter Accent

Hello again!

So I usually paint my nails on Wednesdays and then blog about it on Thursdays. Later today I will be leaving for a camping trip and won't be back until this weekend, so I decided to do my manicure and blog post all today. This manicure is SUPER simple and I LOVED the end result. For this look, you will need two colors of nail polish and a small dotting tool.

I started with a base coat of OPI Nail Envy. I then did two coats of Sei Bella Vintage Mauve except for my ring fingers and thumbs which were painted with two coats of China Glaze Boundary of Memory. Once dry I used a small dotting tool and China Glaze Boundary of Memory to paint a small dot right above the cuticle in the middle of the nails that were painted with Sei Bella Vintage Mauve. Once completely dry, I finished my manicure by applying a fast drying top coat of INM Out the Door. Since I used a chunky glitter on my ring fingers and thumbs, those did not need a top coat.

I LOVE this manicure!! Really simple and yet, stunning. If only you could see the detail of the chunky glitter polish I used for my ring and thumb fingers, it's so FUN! I hope you enjoyed this look and I will see you next time!

Dotted Bars

Hey!!

So this past week we went on vacation and I did my manicure a day later than I usually do, which is why I am posting today. This week's manicure is very simple. For this look you will need a small dotting tool and two colors of nail polish.

I started with a base coat of OPI Nail Envy. I then followed with two coats of Julep Charlotte. Once that was dry I used a small dotting tool and Icing Heavy Metal to make a vertical line of three dots starting at far right side of the nail, just above the cuticle and going up. I then made another line of five dots to the left of the first line and I followed this pattern until I reached the other side of the nail.
Once completely dry, I finished off my manicure with a fast drying top coat of INM Out the Door.

This manicure is so simple and a great way to add just a little something to a basic solid color. Just make sure your dots are completely dry before adding that top coat to avoid streaking. You could make this more contrasting by switching the base color and dot color on two fingers like the ring finger and the thumb. I hope you enjoyed this look and I will see you next time!

Windows

Hello!

This week's manicure is a fun pattern that reminds me of a window pane. For this look, you will need three colors of nail polish and striping tape.

I started with a base coat of OPI Nail Envy. I then followed with two coats of Sei Bella Crystal Sands. Once dry, I placed two pieces of striping tape over the nail, one going vertically down the middle and one going horizontally so it looks like a cross. I then used Sei Bella Pink Sherbet to paint the bottom left and top right squares and Sei Bella Peach Frost to paint the bottom right and top left squares. I then carefully removed the striping tape. Once completely dry, I used a fast drying top coat of IMN Out the Door to finish my manicure.

The most difficult part about this manicure is painting the lower sections closest to the cuticle. I had to paint in a sideways motion, using small strokes and being careful not to use too much polish. Other than that, this was pretty simple to do! If I would have used more contrasting colors, the lines would have stood out more, but I wanted lighter colors this time around. I hope you enjoyed this look and I will see you next time!
